Nicholas Underhay High on Fire, mastodon, gojira, all bubbling in a witch's cauldron. Seriously good stuff! Favorite track: S.L.U. (The HIve).
Elwood

Elwood This was refreshing to listen to! I hear lot's of Mastadon and Gojira influences. All around a solid record. I bought after the first song.
Nihilist Prayer

Nihilist Prayer No matter the time it took to write this album (and it took it's time), the dudes came up phenomenal and tight with their debut. 'Wasteland' opens up this opus in a way that works, not too flashy, but not subdued either. If you missed certain qualities of past Baroness, Mastodon etc., this should be right up your alley. They present a lot more musically with each passing listen, which is definitely what you want in replay value. This is a future classic right here! Favorite track: The Witch.

Wasteland 07:05
The screaming vultures blotting out the sky Their endless circling, I see the shadows waning long waiting for me to die A rotting wasteland as far as the eye can see A burned out world looming ahead of me My isolation bearing down on me My paranoia all thats left of me I’m all thats left of a broken world Burned and destroyed, crippled and curled Nothing left of a burning son Waiting for the end to come Nothing left of a burning son Waiting for the end to come
2.
Swarm 03:40
Bleeding clawing feeding tearing Rise of the brainless hordes Cornered there is no where to run Hiding, you’re their final fucking meal Rising, starving atomic mutates Oozing from their shallow graves Searching for anyone alive Hungry, they’ll rip your flesh from bone No chance to run away once they catch their prey
3.
These machinations, digital slaves rising to replace us Blindly we created calculating minds A new apex race Build, learn, erase, burn Build, learn, erase, burn Rising to ascension Burn us off the earth like a human plague Helpless and afraid designed for war as they take more Build, learn, erase, burn Build, learn, erase, burn We burn away We fade away
4.
Ngenechen 06:46
These forests creeping on me The fear is setting in I can see that there is no way out I feel their eyes on me Woods grow angrier I feel their need for me Losing my own mind lost in their world Running circles trying to breath The branches reach for me Wrapped in their harsh embrace I finally give to green Woods grow angrier I feel their need for me Losing my own mind lost in their world I close my eyes no need to breath My life fading to green I close my eyes no need to breath My life fading to green My life fading to green Joining them in their fold Skin hardens into bark Roots sink into the earth Becoming ageless gods
5.
Sucker Punch 04:54
The oceans rise a great swell beneath the see brings old hate A putrid smell, rotting bulk from eternity comes to feed It’s jelly eyes, they focus onto me knowing needing It’s arms reach out the cold touch of its skin against me Grabbing hold, it pulls me down into the deep I join in its eternal sleep As I sink down below to the undertow As the light fades away its not letting go

The Witch 07:04
cold wind in the air blood moon out tonight glimpse of her hair lost in her blood red eyes as she casts a spell on me I feel free Rise from a fire with burning eyes Her hands weave from side to side The devils gift from the night Fire around her burning bright Smoke, taking hold of me Ravens in the sky Demons from the sea She leads me through a blood snakes dream Takes me to a black water stream I feel free Rise from a fire with burning eyes Her hands weave from side to side The devils gift from the night Fire around her burning bright The devils light inside of me bleeding black eternity Find love in her spell Embrace her fire, her devils poem

Our first and definitely not our last full length album. It totally doesn't blow chunks. You should buy it.
